Three Swedish metal bands - Candlemass, Vomitory and Gehennah - play together on a Friday evening in Karlstad.
Vomitory is a Swedish death metal band from Karlstad, formed in 1989 by guitarist Urban Gustafsson and bassist Ronnie Olson. Between 1996 and 2011 they put out eight albums on Metal Blade Records, building a reputation for relentlessly brutal, no-frills old-school death metal. After disbanding in 2013 they returned to the stage in 2019 for their 30th anniversary, and in 2023 released their comeback album 'All Heads Are Gonna Roll' - followed in April 2026 by their tenth record, 'In Death Throes'.
Founding guitarist Urban Gustafsson announced his departure from Vomitory after 37 years with the band.
Vomitory released their tenth album 'In Death Throes' on April 10, 2026 via Metal Blade Records.
The band announced 'In Death Throes' and unveiled the first single 'For Gore and Country' alongside a music video.
Christian Fredriksson was officially confirmed as Vomitory's new permanent lead guitarist, a role he had been filling since late 2022.
Vomitory toured Europe as support on the Mass Hallucination Tour with Hypocrisy, Abbath and Vreid, including dates in Stockholm and Helsinki.
