Träbåtsfestivalen i Skärhamn

Träbåtsfestivalen i Skärhamn is an annual festival celebrating traditional wooden boat-building craftsmanship and the character of wooden vessels. It is organized by Tjörn Municipality together with the West Coast Wooden Boat Association.

Wooden boats arrive at the harbour on Friday, accompanied by live music. Saturday is the official opening day - the quay fills with market stalls, children's activities, vintage vehicles, and live performances. For the second year running, Sail Yacht Society hosts a sailing race in the harbour entrance. Sunday continues with market stalls and children's theatre before the festival concludes with the award ceremony for Boat of the Year.

Throughout the weekend there are exhibitions, guided tours, open museums, and food trucks. The classic steamship Bohuslän makes a trip from Göteborg to Skärhamn on Saturday.
