Halloween at Bohus Fortress

On 24 October, Bohus Fortress transforms into a place where Nordic creatures roam the castle courtyard - water spirits, trolls and forest beings - while pumpkins, witches and ghosts lurk in the fortress's darker corners. There are games, a candy rain and a meeting with the fortress's own dragon. At the market, crafts, sweets and autumn delicacies are sold, and the food wagon in the courtyard serves charcoal-grilled meat dishes and spicy sausages.

On 31 October and 1 November, the doors open to the horror tour "The Dead" - an evening walk through prison cells, dark corridors and the fortress's most haunted places. Live music, theatre and a fire show are also on offer. Entry is between 18.00 and 20.30.

The age limit for the horror tour is 13 years, but children from 10 years are welcome if their parents judge they can handle it.
