Women's Volleyball European Championship 2026

Sweden and Göteborg host the Women's Volleyball European Championship 2026 together with Turkey, Czechia, and Azerbaijan. Sweden and Turkey are hosting the final phase.

A total of 15 championship matches will be played at Scandinavium over seven days, five of them featuring Sweden. The Swedish team will face Italy, France, Slovakia, Croatia, and Montenegro in the group stage:

21 August 19.00 - Sweden vs Montenegro
22 August 18.00 - Sweden vs Slovakia
23 August 18.00 - Sweden vs Italy
25 August 19.00 - Sweden vs Croatia
27 August 19.00 - Sweden vs France

The Swedish women's national team is directly qualified as the host nation and is making its third consecutive European Championship final tournament appearance. The last time Sweden hosted an international senior-level volleyball championship was in 1989, when the men's European Championship took place in Stockholm and Örebro - now, 37 years later, Göteborg takes on that role.
