Saxon

Saxon established itself in the 1980s as one of Europe's most successful metal bands and has sold over 20 million albums worldwide. The classics Wheels of Steel, Strong Arm of the Law and Denim and Leather remain as relevant to metal fans today as when they were released. The band's latest album Hell, Fire and Damnation (2024) was voted by Metal Hammer readers as one of the year's ten best metal albums.

On 3 July, Saxon plays at Stora Scenen on Liseberg. The band consists of Peter "Biff" Byford (vocals), Brian Tatler and Doug Scarratt (guitar), Nibbs Carter (bass) and Nigel Glockler (drums).
