Riga Tiger

This autumn, Riga Tiger releases their fifth studio album "Med stor makt kommer stora fördelar" - a continuation of what the band has become known for: realism pop. Pop music about people who exist, live, and do their best to get through everyday life.

Since their debut album "Jag håller inte med om din åsikt och är beredd att döda dig" (2017), the band has moved through a landscape where emotions are not amplified through grand gestures but through precision in observation. Life's more modest moments take centre stage.

The years between album releases perhaps reflect a second phase of life, where creativity must find its own spaces. As the band themselves describe it: "We squeeze songwriting into coffee breaks and when the family sleeps. How can that become an album? It sounds impossible. But Kevin sits in his nest, Nils has written about family life (calmly, only one song made it), Anton struggles to let go of old grievances, Linnéa has a swinging song in the works, Hjalmar perhaps keeps the best for himself (we suspect), and Karl mostly wants to make films."
