Unplugged med Mattias Alkberg

Mattias Alkberg has released 30 albums over his years as an artist - with The Bear Quartet, in various constellations, and as a solo artist - as well as several poetry collections and performed thousands of shows.

As a songwriter, Alkberg often moves along the edge of ruins, both on a personal and societal level. He welcomes catastrophe but meets it with stubborn resistance. Alkberg was the singer and guitarist in The Bear Quartet, which released its debut album in 1992 - the same year his first poetry collection Separerade ägg was published. In recent years, he is primarily known for his solo albums, his poetry, and as frontman of the punk band Södra Sverige.

He has also created several stage productions: Alla är sämst (2018), Om känslor och sånt skit (2019), and Mattias Alkbergs Begravning at Dramaten (2013), the latter of which was also filmed as a concert film for SVT.
