Mattias Alkberg (born 8 January 1969 in Boden, lives in Luleå) is a Swedish songwriter, musician and poet who has released over 30 albums across three decades - first as guitarist and vocalist in the indie band The Bear Quartet, then with Mattias Alkberg BD and the punk outfit Södra Sverige, and as a prolific solo artist. He has published multiple poetry collections and received grants from Svenska Akademien, and his stage show Mattias Alkbergs Begravning was performed at Dramaten in Stockholm and later broadcast as a concert film on SVT.

    Alkberg released the standalone single 'Spela Anti Cimex' on 23 May 2025, following up the 2024 trap album DRAKE.

    Alkberg embarked on a six-date anniversary tour performing his 2004 solo debut Tunaskolan in full, with stops in Göteborg, Malmö, Stockholm, Umeå, Östersund and Luleå.

    Alkberg released the trap-influenced album DRAKE on 15 March 2024, produced by Tomas Bäcklund Thuneström in Luleå and mixed in London by Isabel Gracefield.
