Mölndal Open Water

Mölndal Open Water is a newly launched open-water swimming competition organized by Mölndals Allmänna Simsällskap in Lake Stensjön. The focus is on swimming enjoyment and safety. The best views of the start and race are from the beach and jetty - spectator entry is free.

Three distances are available: 500 meters (for younger beginners), 1000 meters (for those aiming at Göteborgsklassikern) and 2500 meters (for experienced open-water swimmers).

The competition is part of Göteborgsklassikern together with Hisningen Runt (cycling, 50 km) and Finalloppet (running, 10 km). It is also possible to participate in Mölndal Open Water alone.
