Hawk on Flight

Hawk on Flight returns to its deep catalogue and breathes new life into its classic sound, featuring soaring solos, textured synths, tight rhythms and deep grooves.

Formed in 1976, the band came to define Swedish jazz fusion with flowing grooves, bold improvisation and Matz Nilsson's signature bass work without a band. Comparisons to Weather Report and Electric Miles came early, and the Gothenburg-based group quickly established itself as a benchmark for the genre.
