Bohuslän Big Band with Peter Apelgren - Christmas Jazz in Swedish

The concert features both new arrangements and carefully selected favorites from the big band's music archive. The audience will hear instrumental versions of Swedish Christmas classics such as Karl-Bertil Jonsson's Christmas Eve, Lusse lelle, Tipp tapp, Jul, jul strålande jul and Knalle Jul's waltz - performed in the distinctive sound of Bohuslän Big Band.

Grammy-nominated Bohuslän Big Band is a jazz orchestra with an artistic mission from the Västra Götaland region and has been part of Vara Konserthus since 2004. The big band has performed with musicians such as Vince Mendoza, Danilo Pérez, Maria Schneider and Nils Landgren, as well as artists including Sarah Dawn Finer, Björn Skifs and Tommy Körberg.

Comedian and artist Peter Apelgren has been performing on stage for nearly 40 years. He is known from the comedy program "Rally i P3", the stage sketches "Gift", "Kids" and "Döden - andra sidan e klara?" (with Anna Mannheimer), the solo show "Improvajsing - En stund av glädje" and recurring Christmas shows with Niklas Andersson and Björn Gustafsson. In film and television, he has appeared in "Tårtgeneralen", "Clark" (Netflix), "Solsidan", the Christmas calendar "En hederlig jul med Knyckertz" and "Vuxna människor".
