Leila Bordreuil brings experimental electronic music to Folkteatern in Göteborg on Thursday, 17 September 2026. About: Leila Bordreuil

Brooklyn-based cellist Leila Bordreuil treats her instrument as a noise machine - extreme amplification and feedback blur the line between cello and PA system, drawing on free jazz, harsh noise and contemporary classical without settling into any of them. A Jerome Foundation fellow and regular at venues from the Barbican to Berlin Atonal, she is one of the more distinctive voices in New York's improvised music scene.
