Little North (DK)

Danish jazz trio Little North comes to Nefertiti with their upcoming album Crossing Currents, released on the German label ACT Music. Since 2020, they have released six albums and established themselves as a distinctive voice on the European jazz scene.

Little North operates as a collective where all members compose and draw inspiration from a broad spectrum of genres and traditions. Crossing Currents was created in New York with vibraphonist Joel Ross and saxophonist Hannes Bennich, where Nordic sound and poetic precision meet the energy of the international jazz scene - with musical threads from Copenhagen, New York, and Malmö.

Live performances are enhanced by Dutch guitarist Reinier Baas, known for his rhythmic drive and melodic inventiveness. Together with Bennich, the material is reshaped in the moment and takes new directions from concert to concert.
