Twelfth Night
Göteborgs Stadsteater, Gothenburg
By William Shakespeare.
A storm. A shipwreck. Two siblings who lose each other. Believing her brother Sebastian is dead, Viola takes on a new identity and seeks service with Duke Orsino. Orsino is in love with Countess Olivia, who grieves and has turned away from love. When Viola is sent as a messenger between them, everything is set in motion - soon everyone is in love with someone who in turn loves someone else.
Twelfth Night is one of Shakespeare's most beloved comedies, a story about love, identity, and the longing to be seen. What happens to us when we are forced to become someone else? What does it take to dare to show who we are?
Post-show discussion! Stay in the salon on Thursday, October 1st for a discussion with the ensemble. The conversation begins ten minutes after the performance ends and lasts 30-40 minutes.
