Alingsåschatten - Kulturhuset Stadsteatern
Alingsåschatten is based on a true story and explores politics, power, and desire. Three local politicians from different parties develop relationships that quickly move beyond the professional - gin-soaked evenings give way to private chats where messages become increasingly explicit. Personal attacks blend with overt sexting, a balance of terror emerges, and at the same time an unexpected cross-party collaboration takes shape. Until the chat leaks to the media and everything falls apart.
The play depicts how power can corrupt, but also how loneliness, the need for validation, and desire drive people to decisions they can no longer control. What happens when the boundary between the private and the political blurs?
Directed by Nanna Olasdotter Hallberg, with Manuela Gotskozik Bjelke, Marcus Vögeli, and Gustaf Hammarsten in the lead roles. Hallberg is an author, playwright, and cultural figure - she has worked on stage productions at Riksteatern and Östgötateatern, made her debut in 2025 with the novel Syndernas förlåtelse, and is also known as a podcaster and cultural commentator, notably in P3 Klubben and Expressen Kultur.
