Eagles of Death Metal

Eagles of Death Metal is an American rock band from Palm Desert, California, founded in 1998 by Jesse Hughes and Joshua Homme. The band's current touring lineup features frontman Hughes, drummer Leah Bluestein, guitarist Scott Shiflett, and bassist Dustin Douglas.

Despite its name, Eagles of Death Metal is not a death metal band - it's a joke. The band has described their sound as "bluegrass slide guitar mixed with stripper drum beats and Canned Heat vocals", and Hughes is known for his exaggerated stage antics and close interaction with the audience.

So far the band has released four studio albums: Peace Love Death Metal, Death by Sexy, Heart On, and Zipper Down. A fifth album is in the works.
