Eagles of Death Metal is an American rock band from Palm Desert, California, founded in 1998 by Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme (also of Queens of the Stone Age). Despite the name - a joke born from wondering what a cross between the Eagles and a death metal band would sound like - their music blends garage rock, blues, glam and boogie rock. The band has released four studio albums and became widely known after surviving the November 2015 terrorist attack at the Bataclan in Paris, where 89 people were killed.
Eagles of Death Metal announced a North American 'Death By Sexy' 20th anniversary tour running from August to September 2026.
The band completed a 19-date European summer tour in 2025, covering Lithuania, Poland, Sweden, Germany, the UK, France, Spain, Norway and other countries.
Eagles of Death Metal announced a Teragram Ballroom residency in Los Angeles for summer/autumn 2025, with each night dedicated to one of their four studio albums.
The band announced their 2025 European tour dates in December 2024, including headline shows in Germany and festival appearances at Hellfest, Download and Graspop.
A new studio album was reported to be in the works for a worldwide release in 2025, which would be the band's first since Zipper Down (2015).
