About

The Hellacopters are a Stockholm garage rock band founded in 1994 by Nicke Andersson and guitarist Dregen, initially as a side project from their respective bands Entombed and Backyard Babies. Their debut album Supershitty to the Max! (1996) - recorded live in 26 hours - won a Swedish Grammis and set the template for a run of acclaimed records through the 2000s. After disbanding in 2008, they reunited in 2016 and have since released two chart-topping albums, Eyes of Oblivion (2022) and Overdriver (2025), both hitting #1 in Sweden. Alongside The Hives, they are widely regarded as one of the most influential rock bands Sweden has produced.
