This summer's exhibition celebrates folk knitting traditions. Since 2022, Karin Kahnlund and Evelin Skeppström have organized "En svensk stickklassiker" - a challenge for knitters who want to pass on knowledge of traditional garments and historic knitting techniques.

The exhibition displays sweaters and mittens from several years of the knitting classic. The garments draw on older folk patterns but receive a personal touch from their knitters.

K. A. Almgren sidenväveri & museum is one of Europe's best-preserved silk weaving workshops, founded in 1833 on Södermalm. The original 19th-century Jacquard looms are still in working order, giving visitors a rare look at a craft largely unchanged since the early industrial era. The museum traces the history of silk weaving in Stockholm.
