K. A. Almgren sidenväveri & museum is one of Europe's best-preserved silk weaving workshops, founded in 1833 on Södermalm. The original 19th-century Jacquard looms are still in working order, giving visitors a rare look at a craft largely unchanged since the early industrial era. The museum traces the history of silk weaving in Stockholm.
