Summer with Shakespeare

Mendelssohn-Bartholdy was only seventeen when he composed his overture to "A Midsummer Night's Dream" - yet it is considered one of his first mature masterworks, in which the young composer captures the full emotional range that Shakespeare displays in his comedy.
