Göteborg Film Festival Open Air 2026
gratis
The festival opens with Óliver Laxes' acclaimed Sirāt - an intense journey through the deserts of southern Morocco, where a father searches for his missing daughter alongside his son and a group of ravers. Once the credits roll, Radio Marrakesh takes over the pier with dancing through the late summer night.
Saturday begins with a matinee screening of Chloé Zhao's Hamnet, the film adaptation of Maggie O'Farrell's novel about the family behind William Shakespeare. In the evening, It Pays to Belong is shown - a new documentary about cult band The Embassy, followed by a DJ set from The Embassy and a live performance by Sylvie's Head.
Free entry to all screenings and concerts, but free tickets must be booked in advance via goteborgfilmfestival.se. Tickets go on sale 12 August. Age limit: 18 years.
Open Air is presented in collaboration with the City of Göteborg, Göteborgs-Posten, and Stigbergets Bryggan.
