Emil Gittansson Jensen — Stadsteatern, Lund

Emil Gittansson Jensen returns with a new production and tour across Sweden. The show "Vi måste hålla kontakten" (We Must Stay in Touch) explores friendship as a phenomenon - a relationship he describes as "so undervalued, vital for us as human beings and the foundation of all solidarity". Using an old overhead projector, music, and deeply personal stories, he moves between historical reflection and future speculation, loneliness and today's extreme individualism. The production is directed by Siri Bengtén, with Vänskapsbandet on stage: Anna Dager (cello), Hanna Ekström (violin), and Staffan Findin (trombone).

Emil has released eight albums and several books, regularly appears on Swedish Radio as an essayist in "Godmorgon världen" and "Tankar för dagen", and has been a winter and summer speaker. He has received the Nils Ferlin Prize, the Evert Taube Prize, the Karl Gerhard Prize, and was nominated for the Martin Luther King Prize for civic courage. Recently, he also received ABF's Cultural Prize.
