Geordie Greep

Geordie Greep comes to Sweden for two shows in late summer - 20 August at Debaser in Stockholm and 21 August at Mejeriet in Lund.

Greep is the frontman of British band Black Midi, and his solo debut The New Sound came as a surprise even to the most devoted fans. The album moves through eclectic jazz-rock with dizzying complexity and breakneck pace, yet remains emotionally precise - loose but well-arranged, chaotic but controlled.

The lyrics are explicitly satirical inner monologues from different men - all tragic, all losers - and their twisted fantasies. Following a show at Stay Out West last year, he returns to Sweden.
