Geordie Greep (born 20 August 1999, London) is an English musician, singer and guitarist who led the experimental rock band black midi from 2017 until the group's hiatus in August 2024. His debut solo album 'The New Sound' (Rough Trade Records, October 2024) draws on jazz-rock, Brazilian tropicália and Latin big-band arrangements, and received universal acclaim on Metacritic.
Greep announced a spring 2026 North American tour, with dates in cities including New York, Chicago and Toronto.
Greep revealed in an interview that his second solo album is half finished and recorded partly in Japan, with a release expected within a year.
Greep launched an 18-date US headlining tour on 6 September 2025, backed by his live band including Charlie Schefft, Dave Strawn and Santiago Moyano.
Greep performed at Way Out West in Gothenburg (7 August) and Øyafestivalen in Oslo (8 August) as part of his European summer festival run.
'The New Sound' debuted at number 2 on the UK Independent Albums Chart and received universal acclaim on Metacritic.
