The Birds — Lilla scenen, Stockholm

Filomena has invited guests to a three-day disputation party in a house far from everything. But only seven of the invited arrive. The birds gather in ever-larger flocks. The guests don't know each other. But there is food. And time.

The Birds is a newly written play about what happens between people when they are left behind.

Dramatist and director Freja Hallberg is the founder and artistic director of the Konträr stage in Stockholm. Her work is shown both in Sweden and internationally, and in her productions humour, philosophy and existential situations meet. The production Bråk was performed for several years and was praised by critics. In the work Monologue for Telephone, 349 actors each called their own member of parliament and performed a monologue directly over the phone.

The bird song in the production is composed by Magnus Bunnskog, artistic director of Audiorama.
