RAAF — Sjöfartsplatsen, Simrishamn

RAAF means raven in Dutch - an animal with mythic significance, a messenger hovering between sky and earth. Intelligent and loyal, the raven spends most of its life in a pair. The performance revolves around friendship, sisterhood, and life itself: two dancers walking their own paths yet always at each other's side.

RAAF is a high-tech tightrope performance for the whole family, with the feel of a watercolor picture book. The discipline of high wire means that artists balance on a rope high above the ground, often with a long balance pole in their hands - sometimes secured, but usually not. Every mistake can be catastrophic.
