I list & lust

I list & lust comprises two short comic baroque operas with 300 years of history: Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's "La serva padrona" and Georg Philipp Telemann's "Pimpinone". The shared theme is maidservants who scheme to climb the social ladder - and hopefully find love along the way. The production is modernized and adapted for touring, with baroque music accompanied by more contemporary elements.

Love, relationships, and work were probably just as complicated in the 18th century as they are today. We meet a clever and resourceful woman in two different time periods who does her best to outwit her employer - or perhaps just herself. If everything goes wrong, there is hopefully still a chance for a second opportunity, maybe even true love.
