I list & lust

I list & lust comprises two short comic baroque operas with 300 years of history: La serva padrona by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi and Pimpinone by Georg Philipp Telemann. The shared theme is maidservants who scheme to climb the social ladder - and hopefully find a bit of love along the way. The production is modernized and adapted for touring, with baroque music accompanied by more contemporary elements.

We encounter a smart and resourceful woman in two different historical periods. Love, relationships, and work were probably just as complicated in the 18th century as they are today: How do you succeed in a job interview without revealing your hidden agenda? How much can you fake it at work without getting fired? And what happens if you fall in love with your boss?
