Meet the Radio Correspondents 2026

Sweden's Radio correspondents are on the ground when and where it happens. From reporters stationed around the world comes rapid news coverage, along with in-depth analysis and background reporting. Sweden's Radio operates the largest correspondent network in the Nordic region - 20 correspondents worldwide and around ten staff members in Stockholm.

One of the correspondents' key tasks is to document events that might otherwise be overlooked by the media. As Anders Pontara, foreign editor of the Ekot programme, puts it: "At a time when journalism and freedom of speech are under attack in an increasing number of countries, it is of the utmost importance to be on the ground."

The performance runs for 1 hour 15 minutes and is followed by a 30-minute discussion. The participating correspondents will be announced in early autumn.
