Meet the Radio Correspondents 2026

Sveriges Radio's correspondents are on the ground when news breaks - around the world. They deliver rapid news reporting alongside in-depth analysis and background to major events. Sveriges Radio operates the Nordic region's largest correspondent network: 20 correspondents worldwide and around ten staff members in Stockholm.

One of the correspondents' key tasks is to cover events that might otherwise be overlooked by the media. As Anders Pontara, foreign news editor at Ekot, puts it: "At a time when journalism and freedom of speech are under attack in an increasing number of countries, it is of paramount importance to be on the ground."

The performance runs 1 hour 15 minutes and is followed by a 30-minute discussion. The participating correspondents will be announced in early autumn.
