When Our Lord Made Bygdsiljum and Everything Else

Thomas Andersson is a fiddler and storyteller with a central role in the oral narrative tradition of Västerbotten. Since the late 1980s, he has performed with words and music for audiences throughout the country.

In his self-written performance "When Our Lord Made Bygdsiljum and Everything Else," Andersson draws from his childhood Sunday school lessons. With fiddle in hand and speaking mostly in rural dialect, he humorously recounts how God took his starting point in Bygdsiljum when creating the world.
