InTension

InTension features Rebecca Livaniou in a dance solo that moves in multiple directions simultaneously, without revealing its logic in advance. Inspired by hip-hop battle culture - where something is at stake in every moment - she creates a physical monologue where each movement carries its own energy and charge.

Just beneath the surface lies an inner movement, where contradictions and subtle shifts make themselves felt. Moods gradually shift and open into a more ambiguous state. It is not about winning over someone else, but about overcoming one's doubts and claiming space - in front of others and oneself.

Rebecca Livaniou has danced in works by Cullberg and choreographer Lisa Janbell. InTension is her first stage solo production, created in close collaboration with music producer Kevin Wedin/12Twelve, costume designer Amanda Wisselgren, and lighting designer Thabiso Kubheka Persson.

Performance length: 45 minutes. InTension is a collaboration between Riksteatern and Rebecca Livaniou, with support from Konstnärsnämnden.
