Agnes, 42, runs the lifestyle blog Vardagar vid kusten and presents 95,000 followers with what appears to be a calm and polished life. But behind the images are cracks: her marriage to Henrik is strained, and after a misstep during a trip to France, Agnes doesn't know how to move forward.
She flees to her mother's house - convinced it will be empty during the holidays - but is surprised to find Eva, who appears to have been through an accident. Both mother and daughter carry secrets, carefully hidden from each other and from the world. In their encounter, reality begins to break through the layers of filters, pretences and self-deceptions built up over the years.
Filter is a dramedy about loneliness in our narcissistic age, about how digital lives can create distance rather than closeness, and about relationships that require more than perfect images to survive. The play is written by Emma Broström and directed by Anna Novovic, recently known for "När strippklubben kom till byn" and "Jag som var så rolig att dricka vin med". Starring Malin Cederbladh and Madeléne Evertsson.
