The Story of My Life

Thomas is a successful author who returns to his hometown to deliver a eulogy for his best friend Alvin, who has recently died. He recalls their childhood - the adventures, the local bookshop run by Alvin's father, and Alvin himself: lively, imaginative, always full of the best stories, yet also a sensitive outsider with his own unique view of the world.

As Thomas begins to compose his speech, Alvin interrupts. He adds details and insists that Thomas is misremembering. The longer they talk, the more Thomas begins to question himself - what made Alvin stay and take over his father's bookshop? And what stories has Thomas built his career upon?

Thomas must confront the lies and betrayals of his life, and try to figure out for himself what truly matters.
