Milkweed (UK)

Milkweed traces its roots to Binghamton, New York, where the trio of Joseph Alston, Jacqueline Colombo, and Peter Lister established the band's foundation. Today they have grown into an electric six-piece ensemble with drums, keyboards, and electric guitar.

Without confining themselves to a single genre, they draw from bluegrass, Chicago blues, Irish ballads, and folk traditions - creating their own distinctive form of musical storytelling. The lyrics explore everyday human stories viewed through the lens of dreams, anchored by tight three-part harmonies.

Following their debut Dream of An American Family (2015), the band released the EP ELECTRIC (2018), which captures the full power of the six-piece lineup. Milkweed performs over 200 shows annually, and in September they play at Mejeriet.
