The Pile - Kompani Giraff

Three circus artists navigate an unruly height - shifting shape, dissolving and reinventing themselves in striking formations. Through circus, humor and magic, The Pile explores the contradiction between wanting to belong and yearning to break free.

Kompani Giraff invites young audiences to a work inspired by absurdist and surrealist artistic traditions. Via spectacular, movement-based fabric sculptures, existential themes of growth, resistance and liberation are explored. The performance is recommended for upper-elementary children and their adults. The work premiered at Dansens Hus, which is also a co-producer.
