Landshövdingehus 150 Years
Göteborgs stadsmuseum, Gothenburg
Ingår i museets entrébiljett. Fri entré för alla under 20 år
This building type - with one stone storey and two wooden storeys - was home to nearly half of Gothenburg's residents until the mid-20th century. Between 1875 and 1945, 2,500 landshövdingehus buildings were constructed in Gothenburg, but why were there so many? How did these houses come about in the 1870s, and why are they actually called landshövdingehus?
The guided tour moves through the exhibition "Landshövdingehus 150 Years" at the City Museum, where models, drawings, and photographs illuminate why these buildings were constructed, demolished, and ultimately preserved.
Places are limited. Book via the link and arrive at least 5 minutes before the start - otherwise your place will be released if there is a queue. Unbooked places are released until the tour begins.
