In the Light of Lighthouses - Sorrows, Heroic Deeds and Everyday Life
Sjöfartsmuseet Akvariet, Gothenburg
Ingår i entrébiljetten
Radio journalist Peter Gropman, known from P1's programme Svenska fyrar, tells the story of life at Sweden's lighthouses - from daily routines to dramatic events such as heroic deeds, accidents and murders. Since the 1500s, lighthouses have illuminated the coasts, and not long ago the lighthouse stations were bustling with activity. Thanks to Lennart Hyland's microphone, we can still hear today about the life of a lighthouse keeper at Knippelholmen lighthouse in 1946.
The lecture is presented in collaboration with the Swedish Lighthouse Society and is included in the museum's admission ticket, but places are limited. Arrive at least 10 minutes before the programme starts - after that your place will be reserved if there is a queue. Unbooked places are released until the programme point begins.
