A summer season finale with Camilla Tilling, Johanna and Rebecka Wallroth

The season finale features arias, duets and trios from two opera works, performed by sisters Johanna and Rebecka Wallroth and Camilla Tilling. Before the interval, excerpts from The Marriage of Figaro are heard, and after the interval, Richard Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier.

Strauss had conducted The Marriage of Figaro over thirty times before composing Der Rosenkavalier, and the parallels between the works are many - not least between Figaro's Countess and the Marschallin, and between Cherubino and Octavian.
