Maternal Love

A musical theatre production based on Strindberg's "Maternal Love" and V. Benedictsson's "Mother". Directed and adapted by Annika Kofoed. Premiere 5 September 2026.

Frida Hallgren and Blossom Tainton play a mother and daughter whose summer day on the archipelago becomes an intense confrontation. In a relationship drama infused with pain and dark humour, past and present merge as the roles intertwine in a struggle over dependency and the longing for authenticity.
