About the venue

Strindbergs Intima Teater was founded by August Strindberg himself in 1907, originally on Norra Bantorget in Stockholm. He built it specifically to stage his chamber plays in a small, close setting. Today a theatre bearing his name on Birger Jarlsgatan continues the tradition with both classic and contemporary productions.
