Big Bang!

Like a living Forrest Gump, Bang found herself at the pivotal moments of world history - she reported from the front lines and corridors of power, meeting figures such as Gandhi, Hitler, and Elin Wägner. The production portrays her struggle, courage, and sharp pen with a playful and humorous tone that does not shy away from the gravity of her experiences of war and injustice.

The story begins in 1956, when Bang was imprisoned for a month at Långholmen prison - convicted of refusing civil defence service. From there, the narrative interweaves with flashbacks: her reporting from the Berlin Olympics in 1936, the pacifist awakening during the Spanish Civil War, doubts during the Finnish Winter War of 1939-40, her meeting with Gandhi before India's liberation from Britain, and finally the death of her mentor Elin Wägner in 1949 - the event that makes Bang a convinced pacifist, to the point where she chooses prison for her cause.
