V.D.
Göteborgs Stadsteater, Gothenburg
V.D. is a chamber play by Stig Larsson set in an apartment over the course of one intense evening and night. The play is a claustrophobic, brutally dark comedy exploring how power, sexuality, and class can distort relationships - an evening where everything spirals out of control and everyone reveals their most vulnerable, absurd, and destructive sides.
The story centres on Hans, his girlfriend and live-in partner Anna, and Hans's boss Sven - a young charismatic CEO who unexpectedly shows up to "get to know his employees better". At its premiere at Dramaten in 1987, featuring Ernst-Hugo Järegård and Helena Bergström among others, the play caused a stir in the audience but was later performed to packed houses.
On Thursday, December 3rd, there will be an aftershow discussion with the ensemble, approximately ten minutes after the performance ends, lasting 30-40 minutes.
