Early in the morning, before the circus has woken up, the curious clown Nalle sneaks under the tent hoping to see a live elephant. But everything seems abandoned - where has the circus magic gone?

Together with Nalle Clown and a circus colleague, the audience encounters the circus's diversity: professional circus acts, clown performances, circus music, and a ventriloquist circus director - all framed in heartfelt clown dramaturgy.
