Nadim - My Journey from Refugee to Sweden's Police

Freely adapted from Nadim Ghazale's and Sara Nygren's book.

Nadim Ghazale arrived in Sweden at age seven from Lebanon. In the book he wrote together with Sara Nygren, he recounts his winding integration journey - the people he met, cultural clashes, and identity crises. He grew up in Ulricehamn, studied, worked in crime prevention, and eventually stepped into the public eye as "Sweden's police chief".

Lisa Lindén's play highlights the encounters that were decisive for Nadim and illuminates the pain points for him and others living with similar in-between status - sometimes seen as Swedish, at other times judged solely by appearance and background.
