A Flame for Lena Nyman with Anna Bromee

Anna Bromee portrays Lena Nyman in this solo performance - from the shy six-year-old sent to drama school at Lidnersplan 11 in Stockholm, to one of Sweden's most beloved and debated actresses, equally convincing in light comedy and heavy drama.

The foundation of the play is the diaries, letters, and photographs that Lena Nyman donated to the Swedish National Theatre Library when she knew her time was limited. Her own words carry the story forward with humor, darkness, and honest self-reflection. The performance also includes excerpts from Jonas Gardell's "Hell is Memory Without the Power to Change", with his permission, as well as "The Odd Couple" by Neil Simon (Nordiska Strakosch).

Friday, November 20, 7:00 PM - 8:15 PM at Scenen. Tickets cost 150-350 kr, scene pass valid. Organizer: Knivsta Riksteaterförening.
