Bio: Carola!

Beloved, controversial, and always relevant - Carola Häggkvist's life and career are now told in a documentary film directed by My Sandström.

In 1983, she wins Melodifestivalen with "Främling" and launches a career without parallel in Swedish entertainment history. With her voice and positive energy, she quickly becomes a youth icon. Yet the journey was not without setbacks: her involvement with Livets Ord sparked criticism, and her life repeatedly made tabloid headlines. The film CAROLA! offers, through access to unique material, an intimate look at the person behind the icon - and how she took control of her own life at age 60.
