Joel Alme

After three critically acclaimed albums in English, Joel Alme achieved his major breakthrough with the Swedish-language album Flyktligan in 2015. "This is how the songs are written and this is how you will hear them," as he puts it himself.

The core of the songs stems from Alme's own experiences, but they equally depict the life stories of people around him and the places that belong to them. On stage, he strips the songs down to their bare essentials - the connections between songs emerge and the stories behind the lyrics are told.
