The Mission on englantilainen gothrock-yhtye Leedsistä, jonka Wayne Hussey ja Craig Adams perustivat vuonna 1986 lähdettyään Sisters of Mercystä. Debyyttialbumin God's Own Medicine (1986) jälkeen Children (1988) nousi Britannian albumilistan kakkoseksi, ja yhtyeen maailmanlaajuiset albumimyynnit ylittävät neljä miljoonaa kappaletta. Kymmenestä studioalbumista koostuva katalogi ja vahva liveläsnäolo ovat pitäneet bändin relevanttina jo lähes neljän vuosikymmenen ajan.
The Mission announced two strings of European shows for 2027, their first mainland Europe dates in three years, to be supported by a new studio album expected in autumn/winter 2026.
The 2027 European tour stretches from Spain and Portugal through Central Europe and Scandinavia, with a Warsaw date confirmed for 8 October 2027.
Limited-edition vinyl reissues of God's Own Medicine, Children and Carved in Sand were released as a bundle through the band's official merch store.
The Mission postponed their June 2025 tour following Wayne Hussey's departure from the band; the rescheduled dates were set for January 2026.
Wayne Hussey stated the band's aim is to release a new album in 2026, marking the group's 40th anniversary.
